Amira Captivating a Tiger with her Flute Music! He Should See Her Art!
Amira Dvorah is an artist and musician whose work reflects her deep reverence for Eastern mystical culture. Amira has been a painter all her life, and has had many solo exhibitions in the U.S. and Canada . Her works have also been shown in Israel, Japan and India. She is best known for her lotus and mystical landscape paintings, equine art, portraits, and paintings on musical instruments. As a child, she studied classical violin and taught herself guitar. From the age of 15, her main focus was oil painting, Indian music, and bansuri bamboo flute. She has played accompaniment with many of India's finest musicians, and has also composed and performed music with poet Coleman Barks reading his versions of Rumi. Her recent solo CD “ Clear Moon on Still Waters” is a compilation of original pieces for solo Indian bamboo flute and guitar. Originally from New York, she spent many years in Northern California and currently, Amira lives and works in her 1790 farmhouse just outside of Philadelphia, Pa.
